Who we are

We set out to open a sandwich shop where hungry people could get a great meal without breaking the bank.

Then we figured, why not add beer taps? Lunch is better with beer. And chips. Chips with a pickle in the bag. Because people who appreciate the glory of a pickle-sogged chip just get it.

These days The Half is known for fresh sandwiches, seasonal specials, and a quality lineup of beers. Even the oddballs who prefer their chips pickle-free. We let them eat here too.

The Half Downtown donates its walls to rotating local artists to show and sell their work. A good wall in a room full of people.
